Every year the Scouts would lead The St Georges day parade from the War Marmoreal at the top of the High St to St Mary’s Church where vicar Wells would conduct the service. I took part in 1965 /66 but was probably out on my Norton when this parade took place. PARADE PARTICIPANTS.
