Jims hay cart

By 1961 we were hitting the big time and needed transport which came from local farmer Jim Tyley the problem was that he painted it Saturday morning and the paint was still wet. All were covered in red & black paint and the decorations stuck to the hay cart. The minstrels wore “Golli Wog” outfits courtesy of, “Robinsons Jam Brislington”. Hats made by Ray Palfrey. Face blacking was Camp coffee mixed with Fry’s CoCo, which was great for attracting the wasps and bees.
